Chelsea Elmquist

Constable

With 12 years of experience in policing for the EPS, Chelsea has traversed various roles, including patrol, drug investigations, and member support/critical stress management. Currently, she plays a pivotal role in the Recruiting Unit, contributing to the 2SLGBTQ+ employee resource group.

Chelsea’s journey into policing diverged from her initial plans in psychology during university. A ride-along with EPS sparked her interest; she was drawn to the camaraderie among squad mates, and her desire to make a difference and help others propelled her career trajectory.

What sets EPS apart for Chelsea is the autonomy to shape her career path. She appreciates the opportunity to transition between different units based on her interests and passions. Chelsea’s mantra of “Patience and Persistence,” instilled by a retired EPS mentor, serves as a guiding principle. She emphasizes the importance of perseverance in overcoming challenges and achieving career goals.
